If using SHOUTcast v1, this problem occurs if the information is entered incorrectly in the encoder.  Make sure you copy password down and enter it correctly.  The same is true with port number.

If using SHOUTcast v2, this problem occurs when user has not set up additional DJs. Under "Quick Links" there contains valuable information.

Enter this information into your live source software to perform a live broadcast.

When the autoDJ is running and you want to broadcast live to all autoDJ-controlled mount points:

Protocol:  SHOUTcast (v1)
Server hostname:  70.35.201.123
Server port:  8002
Bit rate:  192
Password:  (The username and password of one of your DJ accounts, separated by a colon)
  Example: jsmith:secret

When the autoDJ is not running or you want to broadcast live to a non-autoDJ mount point:

Protocol:  SHOUTcast (v1)
Server hostname:  70.35.201.123
Server port:  8000
Password:  (The 'Source password' value from your stream settings)

Protocol:  SHOUTcast (v1)
Server hostname:  70.35.201.123
Server port:  8000

Notice, first of all, you must set up a DJ by clicking the "DJ link". Assign a username and password.  You may add as many DJs as you like to use your stream.  Remember to RESTART your server after adding the new DJ.  Otherwise, they WILL NOT be able to connect.
It is best to use (as suggested above) the SHOUTcast v1 configuration when using SAM Broadcaster.

Making sure all information entered into the encoder, you should be able to stream live.  You DO NOT have to turn off AutoDJ when using SHOUTcast v2.  However, when using SHOUcast v1, you will have to turn off AutoDJ before connection your encoder and going live. With both senarios, it is best to have the music playing in SAM Broadcaster before starting the encoder.
